Canberra Antiques and Vintage Fair

Canberra Antiques & Vintage Fair

Following the enormous success of the inaugural fair, the Canberra Antiques & Vintage Fair has been expanded for 2016. At the Second Annual Canberra Antiques & Vintage Fair, taking place from the evening of Friday 13th May 2016 through 5pm Sunday 15th May 2016 at the Canberra Southern Cross Club. Some of the most reputable antique dealers from across Australia will be displaying all manner of collectables – from rare and unique items hundreds of years old, to vintage items from a few decades ago that are always in style. All exhibits will be for sale, and one fairgoer will win $1,000 in the ‘Lucky Door Prize’.

The Fair has been expanded for 2016 but it will still be bright and airy with plenty of room to walk around. There will be around 24 invited dealers who are recognised specialists in their areas of expertise and the wide range in goods includes old glass and silver to children’s toys and even weapons as well as dealers whose specialties are 1970s retro or 40s and 50s vintage fashion. This variety is intended to attract serious collectors in Canberra and people who are new to the hobby, as well as buyers who just want to find something interesting for their home or a unique present for someone special. There are items in prices ranges to suit all budgets.

According to the organisers, Martin & Aleta Curry, all dealers at their fairs have pledged to label all items clearly and accurately as a condition of entry. The Currys say that this assures buyers that the items on display can be purchased confidently.

The Fair will take place at the conveniently located Canberra Southern Cross Club, Woden, ACT 2606. There is plenty of undercover parking as well as public transportation right to the Club. The venue is fully air-conditioned and there are a number of formal and informal dining options. Patrons who leave the Fair to take advantage of the Club’s amenities, or the other attractions in the area, may have their tickets stamped for free re-entry. According to Mrs Curry ‘We will have some terrific promotions, and of course one lucky person will win $1,000 cash, yet another great reason to come out and have a fabulous time!’

The fair is open for to the public on: Friday 13th May 2016 3pm – 8pm, Saturday 14th May 10am – 5pm and Sunday 15th May 2016 10am – 4pm
